- Number Detectives - Projected activity for recalling number types: odd/even, prime numbers, multiples, factors, etc. Pupils follow 4 instructions given, crossing numbers matching the criteria given, on a 1–25 grid (pre-made or self-drawn). Remaining unshaded numbers are added to produce a final answer. Interactive: can cross out numbers on the board and check solutions.
- Ski Runs - A differentiated mental arithmetic challenge to print or project with 3 different 'runs'. 3 different 'question' sets can be selected from a vast collection (Yr 3 to GCSE) to create endless versions of your own Ski Runs. Using the Starting number students work through the list of 10 consecutive calculations, with the aim of reaching the correct Final answer. When the option to project is used a timer can be included for added challenge.
